- Probate and Family Court
To: Members of the Bar
From: Hon. John D. Casey, Chief Justice
I write to announce that First Justice Ulwick has resigned her position as First Justice of the Essex Division of the Probate and Family Court effective July 5, 2022. I’d like to thank Judge Ulwick for her dedication and commitment as First Justice, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. She will be remaining in Essex as an associate justice.
Effective July 6, 2022, Judge Giordano will become the First Justice of the Essex Division of the Probate and Family Court. Please join me in welcoming Judge Giordano to this new role.
Other changes to judicial assignments include:
Judge Anderson – from Middlesex North to Essex
Judge Bisenius – from Essex to Middlesex
Judge Ross – from Essex to Suffolk
Judicial assignments for pending cases will be reassigned on a numbering system set by each division. Questions about specific cases can be directed to the Assistant Judicial Case Manager for the judge who was previously assigned to the case.
As always, thank you for all that you do to support the Probate and Family Court.
Sincerely,
John D. Casey
Chief Justice
